Hegseth's white nationalist speech, a brutal new poll for Republicans ahead of the midterms from FO

Hi there,

It’s Tuesday. At his "State of the Force,” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth listed who doesn't belong in the military: "No fatties, no tr*nnies, no beardos, no weirdos, no wimps, no radicals." He proclaimed "Diversity is not our strength" — a phrase with direct roots in white nationalist ideology, notably used by Charlottesville-era extremists and VDARE, a white nationalist group. Hegseth also described the military as wearing "the full armor of God," and called journalism covering the Iran war "fundamentally anti-American" and potentially "treason."

This is not a culture war speech. It is a Secretary of Defense using white nationalist talking points before active-duty troops during a war that has already killed 18 Americans and thousands of Iranians. The public deserves reporting that identifies that language for what it is — and asks what it means for our military that no one in that room pushed back.

In addition, former Prince Andrew files legal action to quash warrants that led to two of his residences being searched. And, how the Supreme Court bestowed power to istelf to establish a judicial dictatorship.
