The Pentagon is fearing drone strikes on U.S. military bases, how crypto political spending has run up against the anti-data center backlash, and more.
Hi there,
It’s Wednesday. Six ordinary Americans — a human rights advocate, a historian, a political journalist, a high school civics teacher, a legal journalist, and a college student editor — have filed a federal lawsuit against Trump over his White House press ban. Their argument is simple and powerful: when the government expels reporters for their coverage, it isn’t just the press that suffers. The public loses its right to independent information about its own government.
What makes this lawsuit different from previous legal challenges is its scope. It doesn’t just seek to restore access for the outlets already banned — it asks for a broad injunction protecting every news organization from viewpoint-based retaliation, now and in the future. The public deserves reporting that treats their lawsuit with the gravity it deserves.
In addition, early vote data from the states seems to rattle MAGA as Trump escalates his election attacks. And, how ICE is making people disappear and targeting food workers — driving up costs.
