Trump shoots down TSA funding deal, Minnesota sues Trump admin. over shootings, and SCOTUS appears ready to limit asylum rights.

Hi there,

It’s Wednesday. The Supreme Court appears likely to side with the Trump administration to turn away asylum seekers whenever officials deem the border too overburdened. Minnesota officials filed suit against the Trump administration, demanding access to evidence to independently investigate three shootings by federal officers in the state, which include the executions of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. And Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) laid blame of the long TSA lines on Donald Trump, saying he shot down a funding deal and said Trump told Senate Republicans, “no deals with Democrats.”

The nationwide TSA nightmare—hours-long lines, missed flights, and overwhelmed airport staff—is not an accident. It is the direct result of decisions made by Donald Trump and his administration, including chronic understaffing, policy mismanagement, and a failure to prioritize basic transportation security infrastructure. When airport systems begin to break down at this scale, responsibility lies at the top. Even when lawmakers acknowledge Trump’s role, that context is often buried beneath human-interest angles or consumer advice. This kind of coverage obscures accountability and allows leadership failures to go unexamined.

The public deserves reporting that names who is responsible and explains how these failures happened. Accountability starts with telling the truth.
