SCOTUS appears ready to gut mail-in voting, AOC blasts prediction markets, and Pentagon removing media offices.

Hi there,

It’s Tuesday. The Pentagon is issuing new press credentials after revoking them from most mainstream press outlets last year, but it is removing the press offices from the building. At a White House summit on Monday, despite being showered with praise from his sycophants, Donald Trump was struggling to stay awake. And 8 Democratic state attorneys general are suing to block a mega-merger of Nexstar and Tenga, which would consolidate control over local TV stations covering 80 percent of U.S. households.

This is not just a business deal—it is a transformation of who controls the information millions of people rely on to understand their communities, elections, and government. When ownership consolidates, local newsrooms are often cut, coverage becomes more homogenized, and corporate priorities can override community needs.

Failing to name this as monopolization obscures the real stakes: fewer independent voices and less accountability journalism.
