Fallout from Alex Pretti's killing continues, Rep. Frost assaulted at Sundance Festival, and more.
Hi there,
It’s Tuesday. The fallout from the murder of Alex Pretti by ICE agents over the weekend continues, with the White House distancing Trump from the comments Stephen Miller made about Pretti being a ‘domestic terrorist,’ Senate Republicans calling for investigations into the killing, and even a GOP candidate for Minnesota Governor dropping out due to ICE’s actions.
Despite clear evidence and witness testimony over the killing of Pretti, senior Trump administration figures have doubled down on misleading accounts and sought to defend ICE’s actions rather than confront the contradictions. This failure to reckon with the factual record undermines public trust, impedes accountability, and allows misleading government narratives to go unchallenged.
🖊️ Add your name to call on mainstream media outlets to sustain pressure on the Trump administration by continuing to scrutinize and report on the government’s handling of the Pretti killing; by confronting misleading statements with facts and evidence; and by demanding transparent, independent investigations into ICE and DHS conduct.
