The Trump administration cancels nearly $2 billion of funding for substance abuse and mental health assistance, Denmark and the U.S. continue to fight over Greenland, and more.
Hi there,
It’s Friday. Today, there’s no immediate court decision on a request to stop ICE’s immigration crackdown in Minneapolis, the judge giving the DOJ until Monday to respond, the DHS was revealed to have used a neo-nazi anthem for recruitment, and more.
In addition, this week showed just what a train wreck CBS Evening News has become under anchor Tony Dokoupil with a sycophantic interview with Donald Trump. Dokoupil’s recent on-air conduct and rhetoric have raised serious concerns about whether he is upholding that responsibility, as his commentary increasingly mirrors partisan talking points and culture-war framing rather than independent journalism. An anchor is not just a presenter—they are a symbol of a newsroom’s values and credibility.
🖊️ Add your name to call on CBS News leadership to protect the credibility of its flagship program by demanding Tony Dokoupil step down as anchor of CBS Evening News. At a time when democracy depends on clear, honest reporting, the public deserves journalism rooted in facts—not punditry disguised as news.
