Sen. Slotkin is now under investigation, the State Department halts immigrant visa processing for 75 countries, and the Supreme Court hands Donald Trump another win.

Hi there,

It’s Thursday. Today, Sen. Elissa Slotkin says she’s under investigation much like Sen. Mark Kelly after the video about military members required to refuse illegal orders. In addition, the Supreme Court ruled political candidates have standing to challenge election laws and 75 countries had their immigrant visa processing halted by the State Department.

On top of these major developments, it was just revealed the FBI searched the home of a Washington Post journalist in a leak investigation. It is exceedingly rare, even in these types of investigations, for federal agents to search a reporter’s home. We know we’re tough on the media here at The Hound, including the Washington Post, but when the FBI targets journalists instead of those abusing power, it sends a dangerous signal to reporters and whistleblowers alike: exposing the truth may come at the cost of surveillance, raids, or prosecution.
