A big election results for Democrats in Texas, no-fast track vote for the government to re-open, and millions of more Epstein documents released.
Hi there,
It’s Monday. Over the weekend, Democrats managed to flip a +17 Republican-held seat in Texas, Speaker Mike Johnson said there’ll be no quick House vote to re-open the government, and the Justice Department released millions of more documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. But I wanted to take a moment to highlight this column by Parker Molloy about how the media’s malpractice sent America on a path toward Trumpism.
Republican leaders and allied groups have been explicit about their plans to consolidate power, dismantle democratic safeguards, and remake the federal government to serve partisan and authoritarian ends. These are not hidden agendas or fringe documents—they are stated goals, published plans, and repeated promises made in public. But too often, mainstream media downplays or abstracts these statements, treating them as campaign rhetoric, speculation, or theoretical policy debates rather than concrete intentions.
🖊️ Add your name to call on mainstream press outlets to report accurately and plainly on Republican plans and promises—quoting them directly, explaining their real-world impacts, and refusing to sanitize or soften extremist agendas for the sake of balance. Democracy depends on an informed public. Voters cannot make meaningful choices if the media will not tell them, clearly and honestly, what those choices entail.
