DHS admits noncitizen voter numbers were a lie, Trump threatens to demolish Kennedy Center, and more.

Hi there,

It’s Wednesday. After losing several times in court, the Trump administration's response is a threat: the DOJ filed a brief arguing the "decrepit" Kennedy Center faces an imminent "death spiral" without Trump's intervention — and that without a name change and two-year closure, the building may need to be demolished.

Under Hegseth, the Pentagon has evicted the New York Times and NPR from their long-held desks, replacing them with outlets like Breitbart and One America News.

This is not a renovation dispute. It is a president using the threat of demolition to coerce a federal judge into reversing a legal ruling. The public deserves reporting that treats judicial defiance as the constitutional crisis it is.

In addition, a court ruling will soon tell us how DOGE helped ICE get tax and Social Security numbers of taxpayers. And conservative groups are siding with Minneapolis protesters against Trump’s crackdown, asking a federal judge to force to disclosure of confidential files about undercover ICE agents infiltrating left-wing protest groups.

Until next time,
