Photo of the Year announced, opioid victims shut out of Purdue settlement, and Trump crypto backer sues company.
Hi there,
It’s Friday. The Trump family’s crypto venture is being sued by its own billionaire backer, claiming the company illegally froze his token holdings. World Press Photo announced its Photo of the Year is “Separated by ICE,” showing a family broken apart by the state. And testimony before Congress this week showed just how dangerous RFK Jr. has been as HHS Secretary.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s growing influence over national health policy represents a profound risk to the country’s healthcare system. From undermining vaccine infrastructure to promoting discredited theories, his agenda threatens to dismantle long-standing public health protections that millions rely on. Yet too much media coverage treats RFK Jr.’s actions as political spectacle or controversial opinion rather than confronting their real-world consequences.
The public deserves reporting that treats threats to healthcare infrastructure as the serious crisis they are, not as another political storyline.
