UK gathers countries to attempt to reopen Strait of Hormuz, Trump gives nothing address on Iran War, and Artemis II leaves Earth.
Hi there,
It’s Thursday. Artemis II blasted off successfully yesterday evening, beginning a 10-day mission around the Moon. The UK gathered 40 other countries and began plotting a way to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. And Donald Trump delivered an address to the nation last night on the Iran War amounting to nothing, just more bluster and uncertainty about the reasons for entering the war and goals of the conflict.
Even as military operations intensify and global consequences mount, reporting shows shifting goals, contradictory statements, and uncertainty about core objectives like reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Allies have questioned the lack of direction, and even administration officials have struggled to articulate what success looks like. When coverage repeats official claims about progress or imminent victory without examining contradictions, it obscures the confusion and instability driving the conflict.
The public deserves reporting that confronts uncertainty and holds leaders accountable when they take the country to war without a plan.
