Bernie Sanders takes stand against military aid to Israel, Trump attacks Meloni, and Brown Jackson condemns conservative SCOTUS justices.

Hi there,

It’s Thursday. The FDA will consider easing restrictions on some peptide injections, an unapproved therapy popular among wellness influencers, fitness gurus, and of course, RFK Jr.. Trump is attacking Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy, for refusing to back the US in invading Iran. And Trump’s DOJ is moving to drop sedition convictions against key plotters of the January 6th insurrection, including members of the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys.

These were among the most serious charges tied to the insurrection—cases backed by extensive evidence, jury verdicts, and the fundamental principle that attempts to subvert democracy must have consequences. Yet too much mainstream media coverage treats this as a legal or procedural development rather than confronting what it represents. When the government moves to undo accountability for an attack on democracy—especially in ways that benefit political allies—it is not routine.

The public deserves reporting that names this moment for what it is, not coverage that normalizes it.
